Service Description

Youth Mental Health First Aid (Youth MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course designed for adults who work with, live with, or support young people aged 8-18. With the rise in mental health conditions in children and young people, accredited MHFA two-day training will empower you to play a vital role in supporting and safeguarding their needs. This course will equip you with the skills to recognise signs and symptoms, provide initial support, and help young people access appropriate help. You will learn how to: - Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions in young people - Understand the factors that can impact a young person's mental health - Provide initial support and guidance, including how to listen, reassure, and respond - Know when and how to refer a young person to appropriate professional help Train as a Youth Mental Health First Aider and you will receive three years of certification, plus access to ongoing benefits by joining the Association of Mental Health First Aiders® youHQ is a recognised CPD certification provider, committed to delivering professional development in education and striving to support a whole school approach to wellbeing. - Please contact sophie@lifeontime.co.uk to discover the rates and options for group bookings.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds, Transfers and Cancellations To ensure the ongoing viability of the training and to cover our instructors’ costs, we operate a clear non-refundable policy on our sessions and Youth MHFA courses. We do understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean you can no longer attend the training you’ve booked. If you contact us via email (sophie@lifeontime.co.uk) at least 14 days in advance of the start date of the Youth MHFA course, we can offer: A transfer to the same training on a future alternative date A transfer of the booking from your name to a friend/colleague who can attend in your place If you are unable to attend with fewer than 14 days before the start of your training, we will do our utmost to provide a solution or transfer. However, these cannot be guaranteed on short notice. Please note that the Youth MHFA training takes place online over two days (a total of four sessions across two mornings and two afternoons). You must be available to attend all sessions on both days. There are no make-ups for missed sessions. Should we need to cancel a Youth MHFA training course due to unforeseen circumstances, we will aim to give you as much notice as possible of the cancellation. We will provide further details of rearrangement as and when this information becomes available from the trainer.
