youHQ Expands Globally: Supporting Student Wellbeing at BIS Hanoi in Vietnam

Updated: Nov 6

As we continue to grow, we’re excited to bring our unique wellbeing platform to schools around the world, empowering students and supporting educators in new regions. One of our recent partnerships is with the British International School (BIS) Hanoi, which has been pioneering the use of youHQ in Vietnam since August 2023. This expansion into Southeast Asia marks a significant milestone for us, aligning with our mission to foster student wellbeing on a global scale.

Rob Taylor, Assistant Head Secondary and Wellbeing lead at BIS says:

While our school has always prioritised safeguarding, we recognised the need to create a structured environment where students could regularly express their feelings

By adopting youHQ, BIS Hanoi has taken a proactive step in providing its students with a safe and accessible platform for emotional support.

Enhancing Wellbeing Through Global Collaboration

For BIS Hanoi, youHQ has become a vital tool, helping to establish open channels of communication within the school community, enabling early intervention when students face challenges. This approach to wellbeing is essential not only in the UK but around the world, where schools increasingly recognise the importance of supporting students' mental and emotional health.

"youHQ has provided us with an effective solution," said Rob. "This proactive approach allows us to address potential issues before they escalate, fostering a healthier school environment."

Our team provided BIS Hanoi with comprehensive training to ensure a smooth integration of the platform, reflecting our commitment to supporting schools as they enhance student wellbeing globally. The success at BIS Hanoi demonstrates the positive impact that youHQ can bring to schools in diverse cultural contexts, while furthering our goal of making wellbeing a priority everywhere.

Using Data to Foster a Global Standard of Wellbeing

BIS Hanoi’s structured approach with youHQ includes regular data reviews to monitor and respond to students’ needs. Weekly and termly analysis is shared with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), providing insight into trends and helping refine strategies for supporting students.

"To ensure we are making the most of the platform, we review our data on a weekly and termly basis, reporting our findings to the SLT. This regular analysis helps us fine-tune our approach and ensures we are meeting the needs of our students effectively."

This data-driven approach is key as we continue to expand into new international markets, empowering schools with actionable insights that enhance wellbeing outcomes across different educational environments.

Celebrating Our First International Award in Vietnam

BIS Hanoi’s commitment to student wellbeing was celebrated when they received our inaugural international trophy: youHQ International School of the Year, a proud moment for both the school and youHQ. This award highlights BIS Hanoi’s dedication to safeguarding and reflects our commitment to supporting schools worldwide.

"We are proud to share that our efforts were recognised when we received youHQ’s international trophy, a testament to our commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing," said the school’s lead.
