Leighton Park is an award winning, values-led, co-ed, independent day and boarding school for students aged 11-18. Set in the heart of Berkshire, the school is steeped in Quaker principles and was founded 130 years ago on the ethos of simplicity, truth, respect, integrity, peace, equality and sustainability.

The Challenge: To create a unique, forward-thinking pastoral hub that combines student voice with important facts. As our founder school, Leighton Park wanted to be part of the design and development process from the outset.

The Solution: Leighton Park completed their first pilot of youHQ during the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Selecting a small roll-out with just one tutor group initially, the positive student feedback led to new features and amendments specific to the school's needs. After consulting their pupils and teachers, the school decided to buy the platform for year 7 & 8 for the academic year 2020/21.

youHQ has now been rolled out to all 550 students of the school's students - and the continued feedback has helped Leighton Park provide evidence for their latest outstanding ISI inspection and their recent wins at the ISA Awards:

Working with youHQ has been tremendously beneficial for our students and whole-school wellbeing, personal development and safeguarding processes.

The co-innovation between our school and youHQ has created some exciting new features, including our ‘pyramid of need’, and really helped us position ourselves as one of the most progressive pastoral teams in the country.
