Our youHQ Journey thus far…

We successfully launched youHQ within Gems Metropole this October, from the introductions to launch day Jon and his team were very organized and informative. We are a large school in the UAE and have nearly 4000 students. We decided to trial it with year 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11. The team had multiple online meetings with us to ensure we were informed of all the benefits the platform had to offer, they also provided online training and plenty help tutorials. 

 

We launched during our ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’  and now dedicate Wednesday lead time to youHQ. The students can log in very easily as it links with Microsoft, and know how to maneuver around the Platform thanks to the genie function. We dedicated the first time to getting familiar with the wellbeing check ins, support materials and avatar design. This term we are exploring Value and Goal setting for 2024. The students will be able to recall on all goals created and met for their student lead conference later in the year.

 

We have designed a youHQ policy within the school so staff know what to do when a low mood level or safeguarding concern flags up on the platform.

 

We were recently inspected by KHDA, we used the platform to show progress in student wellbeing. We took a sample of students in Primary and Secondary and demonstrated through the platform the increase in their mood levels.
